Nowosad - DJ and producer from Lublin, based in Warsaw, and creator of projects such as Castle Rave and Afternoon. (*in the past: Pryzmat & Splot Słoneczny). Daily, he deals with professional stage and lighting technology, which is why he wants to present increasingly better audiovisual experiences at all his events. His DJ performances constantly oscillate between the House, Tech-House, and Minimal genres with numerous elements of the broadly defined Indie genre, to which he has always had great sentiment. Characteristic? It has a deep groove with an extensive bass line, straight from British clubs. In 2021, to focus all projects and elements of his activities, he created AFTERNOON, a new brand on the Polish music and cultural scene, focused on the qualitative use of professional stage technology and sound production, as well as the organization of cyclical events, which will be a departure from the standard form of clubbing rooted in the audience. - both in terms of location and visuals. AFTERNOON is also a Radio Show, i.e., the publication of podcasts from past events, presenting the work of leading Polish and European artists. Apart from AFTERNOON, his greatest success is Castle Rave, of which he is a co-creator and the undisputed headliner of each edition. Over the years, the project has gained enormous popularity thanks to its unique, non-obvious scenography, unique adaptation of surprising spaces, and quality, which for Nowosad always remains the most important element of his events.
In 2021, wanting to focus all projects and elements of my activity, I created AFTERNOON, a new brand on the Polish music and culture scene - starting with professional stage technology and sound production, ending with the organization of cyclical events. The activity of AFTERNOON began with the gradual publication of podcasts from past events presenting the work of leading Polish and European artists. Willing to meet the expectations of the audience, creating a series of events that will be a departure from the classic form of clubbing. Both in terms of location and visual setting. I am striving to connect the participants of my existing projects, who expect much more than the events offered in Warsaw based on the same promoter schemes. Depending on the season, our events take a different form. In the current season, we are focusing on creating a more intimate, cozy atmosphere in unique spaces, which will be an escape from the autumn-winter melancholy.
Castle Rave is a unique family that gathers several times a year in different places to create their own magical world, full of love, music, culture, art and respect for nature. Our goal is to raise awareness and promote a new vision of the world through art and music. During our celebrations, we try to minimize human impact on the environment. We create our own, independent organization that helps us keep our donors thanks to donations. Our community educates, evolves and supports each other. We are part of the new tomorrow!
Splot Słoneczny series, which I had the pleasure to manage for 4 years, is Sunday musical picnics serving the best dose of music during the day, in the open space. Over the last two years, he has gained a huge group of supporters from all over Poland, who followed the idea of the project and every week, for a few hours, they turned Warsaw into the most colorful summer festival. In addition to leading Polish DJs, with the support of external brands, we expanded the line up to include well-known European artists who took the project to the next level. We managed to create an event that connected both generations and different social groups.
Pryzmat was an audio-visual project where music and light create unity. Co-created from 2017 to 2020 with EYE and NuCasa. Based on my professional stage experience in the field of scene design, I tried to create a show for both the ear and the eye. Each prepared installation was unique, created exclusively for the needs of each of the 16 editions of Prism. The project was carried out in leading Warsaw clubs, like Smolna, Niebo, and Wata Cukrowa.
